NH Meetings and Bmotion introduce REINICIA, a new opportunity to bring together the most prominent representatives of the corporate events sector and communication experts who will talk about the present and future of events in an unprecedented technical deploymentContinue reading
This week from BMOTION we have provided the technical and audiovisual means for two of the most important and expected meetings of world tourism, the first meeting of the year of the UNWTO World Tourism Crisis Committee and the 113th session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization, held at the RIU hotel in Madrid.
These hybrid meetings brought together a select group of 150 on-site attendees, global tourism leaders, members of various United Nations agencies and private sector representatives, who joined forces to explore trends in world tourism and to present different tourism recovery scenarios, one of the pandemic most affected sectors. Harmonized plans and protocols aimed at the recovery of the tourism sector and safe international mobility have been agreed upon, proposing among other measures, vaccination certificates, testing of passengers agreements and promoting coordination between the different international organizations, with the objective of #Reiniciarelturismo.
Both meetings have a great significance not only for tourism, an economic field among the most important in the world in which our country has been a world power so far , but also for the events industry, closely linked to tourism, because they promote the harmonization and coordination of regulations and efficient protocols that will help us all to return to face-to-face events sooner, and thus help to restore normality to our sector. In addition, with the celebration of this hybrid event, it has been demonstrated once again the possibility of holding face-to-face international nature events in our territory, while maintaining the highest levels of security, which is essential to restore confidence.
We are aware that recovering face-to-face events and the entire economy will require everyone’s effort, we will be almost starting from scratch and full of uncertainty while the long-awaited reset of the events sector arrives. But we also hope that during this period we will have learned many things together: hopefully, when we return to face-to-face events, those events will be better, more sustainable and more inclusive, as Zurab Pololikashvili, UNWTO Secretary General, says.
What we will be for sure after this reset is a more innovative industry thanks to new technologies and the digital transformation we have achieved, and certainly more resilient, because what doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger.

The Eventoplus Awards are already an institution and a benchmark in the events industry. They represent the recognition of excellence and talent, and fill with pride its holders, professionals and companies from most areas of this wonderful industry. Over the course of its 15 years of existence, the Gala has evolved to become an essential event for brands, agencies and suppliers.
Although this year circumstances have forced us to wait until December, traditionally the Eventoplus Awards takes place early July and therefore, for many, until this year it meant the end of a hard events season before summer; we wait for it exhausted, but looking forward to it, as the end of school party, curious to know who the winners will be and excited to meet with friends, colleagues and customers in the relaxed and fun atmosphere that characterizes the event.
We have always loved to attend, but in this complicated year, providing the audiovisual resources in these Eventoplus 2020 Awards has had for us both an emotional and vindicating point: we were looking forward to meet again in person with our beloved industry, but also to show the world that we can continue to make face-to-face events by applying the proper security protocols, and to start walking together towards the revival of our industry.
A great event and a great night to thank: Grupo Eventoplus for their determination to hold the Gala despite the circumstances; the award winners and the attendees -presential and virtual- for their discipline, interest and responsibility, and the rest of the collaborators who have spared no effort and means to support our valued events industry, now that it is so necessary for its recovery.
This year’s gala was an example and a model to follow in order to recover face-to-face events in our “new reality”. We are proud to have taken part and we are convinced that movement, also in events, is proven by walking.

Are you interested in holding a Hybrid event?
It seems like yesterday that we were all racing through our frenetic day-to-day lives full of events and meetings, with no time to manage even our own agendas. In just a few weeks, COVID-19 has made us full stop and hit a wall made of interrupted plans and cancelled events.
The growth of the MICE industry has come to an abrupt stop in this war where the common enemy is an invisible virus, a bug that has changed all the game rules. We have stopped thinking about audiovisual technology, logistics and event ROI, to worry about our most primary needs, such as health, security and the future.
In this situation where nothing seems real, we feel strange, vulnerable and isolated; but now more than ever, and like the little mice in the book Who Moved My Cheese, we have to choose between complaining, or wearing our running shoes to look for solutions to the enormous changes and challenges we will have to face in the mid term.
Among this uncertainty, the only thing that seems clear is that we will stand up for ourselves together. Now is the right time to develop associative projects and to keep in mind that it is do or die. Being involved in associations, reflecting together and creating community is key to reaching solutions to common needs.
This is the perfect time for communication and meetings, even if they have to be virtual. Let’s take advantage of this golden opportunity to be prepared at the starting line, fast and agile when we can organize face-to-face events again.

In these difficult times full of bad news, the Coronavirus crisis is forcing us to initiate a mandatory change towards an urgent digital transformation, to design strategies, digital infrastructures and implement them promptly in order to better fight against the expansion and new waves of COVID-19.
This pandemic has shaken up everything we had previously thought, but it has also made connectivity even more essential, because communication, access to information and online services, and the exchange of ideas with other people, businesses and organizations is one of the most important and necessary resources before a biological disaster like this one, which has forced the entire planet to isolation and paralyzation.
We are all challenged to accelerate our processes to virtual communication, to improve technology in order to enhance and facilitate communication through the Internet, and to discover that, in these times when we most need our colleagues contact, friends and clients, virtual events can be as interesting and interesting as face-to-face events are in ordinary circumstances.

Attendance and participation levels at virtual events have increased 30 times over with the lockdown, causing all companies to consider this communication alternative as the only possible option during the state of alarm and the weeks that follow.
Innovative facial recognition applications are being developed around the world, tools that facilitate the data reporting such as body temperature, developments and technologies that will later be applied to many other fields, and will definitely drive the evolution and direction of attendee information in our beloved event industry.
Driven by necessity, we will use the cloud, big data and artificial intelligence applications to prevent new waves of the virus; the good part is when everything improves and we are closer to normality, we can use those same improved technologies to measure, and target information to the attendees of our face to face events, who will have a much more guaranteed ROI by being able to segment the information we offer according to their preferences, culture, geographic location and interests.
